does anyone in the Jacksonville area have any info on the above repeater?
I say Jacksonville because i got hits on it driving thru there. but the other recordings are from tampa bay during band openings.

I have hits on it for 19,21,22,23 most of the recordings are just kerchunks without anyone talking.

there is a soft courtesy tone several seconds before the repeater drops.

in early 2023 one recording has a man saying Tango Charlie 32 and several other transmissions that say radio test in a 1980s ham robotic voice.
sounds to me like this repeater has a ham radio controller.
see attached file.
I searched RR and came up with a HT entry in another state so I'm sure it's not them, and the FCC db. has a lot of state of Florida entries for that frequency, some references to highway patrol. I'd be surprised if its FHP because they use the state system now, but 20 years ago, this was one of their main dispatch frequencies all over Florida.

It's FDOT. They have radio testing a couple of times a week; the radio shop calls each of the seven districts. Apparently it's linked to their low band repeater system. They use the old VHF Highway Patrol frequencies, 154.665, 154.680, 154.695, and 154.920.
