Whilst doing a bit of `Olde Freq' scanning today I kept getting hits on 154.69500MHz, AKA the old CSP District 3B freq, that sounded like some sort of data burst or `controller'. I was wonder if anyone might be able to shed `some light' on this? (For those who may be wondering why I still have that programmed... It's amazing at what conversations one can sometimes catch on those old CSP freqs. {WAN GRIN!} Though, *if* it is what I'm afraid it is I guess that will be one more old freq I'll end up locking out or completely eliminating from the `scan cycle' in a couple of my older radios. {FROWN} [Looks like the "Bide-a-Wee Home For Orphaned and Superannuated Electronics" may be getting a few more `new' residents pretty soon? {WAN GRIN!} ])

Just an `Olde Fart's' 2¢ worth? {WAN GRIN!}

If you program in the PL (not sure what it was for 3B, maybe 156.7?) you won't hear the digital stuff.

Funny... In all the years I've listened to it for CSP I haven't ever actually discovered any `tone' for it. Now 154.740 used 156.7, 154.680 used 127.3, and 154.906 uses 156.7. I was just using one of my old PRO2067 files and letting it run and I know that it didn't have the `tone' set and I used to get them clearly.

Oh, well...

BTW, Thanks, Jim! Duely noted and filed.

Just an `Olde Fart's' 2¢. {GRIN!}
