Heard a long and involved vehicle following this afternoon on 154.95. I can't determine if it is DPS, but this is not the first time. They started up in Carrollton, and I finally had to think about work when they were down around the Parkland Hospital area. It involved unmarked units following a vehicle and other units tagging along.

Was all simplex!!!

Good listening!!!

State Fire Marshals also use this channel/frequency as a car/car. Drove right next to them on their way to lunch in Waller County.

It's one of the statewide interoperability frequencies for multiple law enforcement agencies to be able to coordinate efforts when working together

highly active in most areas here in southeast texas. Agencies using VHF most commonly refer to it as channel 3.

I wouldn't say dead, just reincarnated/renamed.
Seems someone needed to justify his/her salary.

I suppose that means we should leave 155.37 and 154.95 in our scanners for a time. It was really interesting to hear them track this vehicle for most of the morning...
