CAN SOMEONE ELSE CONFIRM THIS FREQ AND TONE...BEFORE I POST THIS INFO
VIRGINIA BEACH EMS- FIRE SIMUCASTE IS 155.175 WITH A TONE OF 88.5, OR IS THIS SOMEONE ELSE?

I HEARD HENRICO CO FIRE AND EMS WAS ON THIS ALSO, BUT COULD NOT LOCATE A TONE.

OR IS SKIP COMING IN ON THIS FREQ AND THIS IS OUT OF STATE?
PL TONE IS HARD TO CATCH ON THIS ONE....

Yes, you've found the VB EMS simulcast.

Henrico Fire & EMS previously simulcasted on this frequency (when it was being used exclusively by Lakeside VRS), but now uses the 155.235 [107.2] frequency that Tuckahoe VRS used.

Listened to Va Beach EMS for a hour with the BC895XLT and it went thru ALL the PL tones without stopping. Plug in the 898T just to see if it had a DCS code, but again it went thru ALL the codes without stopping.Hope this helps!

I do not believe there is a tone associated with VB EMS on that freq. Maybe some day I'll plug my headset in some day and listen for a tone just to confirm my belief. Based on what Investigator 16 has stated it seems that is indeed the case.

Since the city went to 800 years ago the audio on 155.175 has not been the best. In fact as I'm listening to it now the audio is downright terrible!

I think I'll check to see if the old pager freq is still active. If memory serves it is 154.37.

I assume it was a typo, and you mean 155.175 [88.5]. I'll plug it in and see if I can determine anything up this way.

155.175 pl 88.5 is lakeside rescue which simulcast Henrico County's 800 system. I've heard them hear in Hampton roads lately due to the weather. I hope this helps you

Guess I should have known that, I have just always used the Tuckahoe VRS frequency for VHF monitoring when I haven't had a digital available for Henrico!

thanks, I knew the 88.5 tone was being used by someone between Richmond and VA Beach. So to summarize:

88.5 tone = Henrico CO
no tone = VA Beach.

This frequency is only used for digital paging since all pagers used by the fire department are digital. This frequency is also used for station alerting which is also digital. Voice dispatching is done on the Fire Command talkgroup.
