It used to be a PD, but I haven't heard the PD on it since last year or eariler this year. I just got something getting into the input of the repeater about 5 minutes ago. Does anyone know who uses this? Thanks.

That freq and PL is in use in Ohio by the Ohio Turnpike police. Don't know if you are hearing that but with the recent band opening it could be.

It's not them, I can tell from the accents. Thanks for posting, though.

Yes, Manchester PD was on 158.7900 MHz R (PL 162.2 Hz). I used to have them programmed into my scanner.

Does anyone know if East Newark PD and Harrison PD use this PL on 155.7900 MHz? I've seen 71.9 Hz and 146.2 Hz listed for them.

neither e.newark or harrison use that pl.this used to be suffolk county ny's data channel for look up's and warrant check's.they have since moved to a 800 mhz.trunked system.they still could be using this as a back up.i know they still use their old aviation division vhf frequency.i do know they used to have a flame thrower of a signal on that frequency.

This is also Tri-boro (Montvale,Park Ridge and Woodcliff Lake) in Bergen County with a PL of 173.8! The have been using it since 1999 when Hurricane Floyd tore through here and knock out our old police 1.

Suffolk actually keeps the VHF system up and running still to this day, and the VHF system is cross-patched to the TRS (key up on any of the old precinct repeaters, and you'll come out on 800 MHz)

Oh, wow. I thought they just did that on Channel 7 ("Command Band"). Thanks for the information. That also explains the open carrier and MDC-1200 I hear sometimes on 155.6550 MHz (PL 146.2 Hz).
