I heard someone mention Jones Beach and Suffolk County on this frequency and PL. It is simplex. Anyone know what it's for? The only LI license I can find for it is in Mineola. Thanks.

Are you asking if I can receive things from NYC or if things from Trenton can be received in NYC?

I get Medcomm here often on 155.2800 MHz (PL 156.7 Hz). It's New Jersey's JEMS 3 (without the PL).

Mr. Moderator?

To answer the original question...155.820 is used by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation's Long Island State Park and Recreation Commission as a maintenance channel, under call sign KRP804. I can not confirm the PL, but 123.0 is used on the (LI) State Park Police channel.

To answer the very off-topic question...It is unlikely that a scannist in New York City will be able to hear radio traffic from Trenton. The only unlikely way I could think of is if there is an authorized Troop A area unit on the SPNJ trunked system affiliated on the Troop C (or B) system.

155.8200 with PL 123.0 IS a NY Parks Statewide Frequncy. I have heard in up in the Lake George/Saratoga Region a handful of times. I'm going up there this weekend and I'll check it out again!!

Most of the Saratoga area traffic lately has been on 159.270/123.0.
