Does anyone have any idea who uses 156.210 in the Houston area? Sounds like DPS, then again it could be TABC. It is very active during the weekends, primarily at night. Call numbers are 60xx Houston. Last night, they referred to the "liquor" room. But someone was also running traffic. Any idea?

Thanks, nd5y. Not sure who it may be. I'm thinking maybe the DPS and TABC were working something together.

Where in Houston are you logging the activity?

My records show DPS license & weight use 156.21 with a pl of 162.2 (simplex) and TABC uses a pl of 136.5. If you have a scanner that can decode the pl that might help in determining the correct agency.

I have not heard any activity on this frequency in quite a while.

Northwest Houston. 290 near 610 west loop. It's been very active this morning (1A-5A). pl of 136.5 is the one which comes on during the trasmission this morning. I've never heard DPS CVE use this channel. They use our primary channel (DPS 1: 154.680). Well thanks for the help.

I got it!

It is TABC in the Houston area. I have yet to hear CVE on this channel.
