at 2207Z, heard, buried in the noise, talk radio. No ID, talking about something "across several states" . . . possible American station?
157.00 longwave . . .

I will have a listen tonight....see if I can cpy anything? I just know of a couple
Euro,s/ N. African stations in that range but nothing on 157....73,s Marcy

There are no longwave broadcast stations in the US.
If it's not a real signal from somewhere else it could be intermod or mixing.

A good number of radios spuriously receive AM broadcast stations down on low frequencies. This most often happens when you are close enough to a strong one. Look for the same broadcast in the regular 540-1700 kHz range.
I just checked right now at 2215 did not cpy anything just to let you know ,
it was most likely a spur/harmonic like mentioned Longwave is a peculiar
segment to say the least . Right now I cpy 171 Nador, Morrocco, kinda
weak AM carrier 189 BBC and weak AM carrier 207 Iceland (or had, gone
now) trying to get Luxembourg on 234 (think I cpy it at times) because
it,s closing Dec.31st off the air for good...still trying for Mongolia on 227
or 209....tough band for dxing ...best 73,s and holidays ...Marcy
