I live in West Caldwell and I was told a while back that the local municipal frequency is the same as the Caldwell FD dispatch channel (158.94, PL 203.5), but so far I'm not sure this is the case. I'm hearing other rescue squads and what I presume to be Roseland FD on the 141.3 PL, but nothing I can clearly find as West Caldwell municipal usage (snow plows, road repair, etc).
Their trucks all have high-band 1/4 wave NMO-mount antennas on them (of the length one would expect for mid-150 MHz), but I'm at a loss here. I've been listening off and on for a few weeks in carrier squelch mode with PL scan and so far I've only identified 141.3 and 203.5 on this frequency.
So two questions: Are there any other PLs on 158.94 in this part of the county, and second, anyone know where West Caldwell's municipal vehicles are (come to think of it, Fairfield's too, as I'm right on the town border)?
Thanks in advance.
