I sometimes hear a transmission that I want to lock on, but don't get to the button fast enough and of course its then off scanning other channels. Any 15x users know of an easy way to get back to the last Tx? Keeping it scanning of course makes one go through however many other transmissions, hoping to get back...(This is with multiple systems and groups active). Thanks.

No, however you can press hold for two seconds, if you are quick enough, to stay on the system that included the active comm and get a little closer. The only radios that have this feature are the latest ones from GRE/Radio Shack (GRE OEM).

Trying changing the delay time to a higher time.Or you could quicky change the scanning direction back towards the freq you want.

Two great tips- thanks. Didn't know about the 2-second hold and great idea on scanning down.

How is it the scanner knows (inversely) to move on?
For example; "2B30 10-8" I always can easily get to the Hold in time.
"Shots fired, Code 3 cover" it seems to resume scanning immediately (and every other channel has plenty of traffic so ti takes forever to go all the way around).

How do it know? :)
