got one of those damn kW NOAA sites in town. it's tearing up the entire VHF band on my BC780 and BCD396T.

need a good home brew notch filter design for 50 ohms at 162 mhz.

How sharp does the notch need to be? Those PAR filters are all nice and stuff, but at 30 db down, that notch is about a MHz wide. Don't expect to notch out wx and still listen to railroad traffic at 161 with one of those.

I don't listen to railroad. don't need 161 or 162. think the offending Tx is mounted up at AU with their 91.7 Tx and is running 1kW on 162.400.

I may have to just set up my spectra to scan VHF.

think i am only 3 mi. max LOS from their site.
