FYI, I can confirm that VA security in Biloxi,MS is on 164.9625 NAC 293 in the clear. This is part of a wide area system that covers the gulf region of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. This system also uses 172.6875 and 163.3125 as repeater outputs. I did not find the input during this trip to the area. Interesting because I had 164.9625 as an ICE frequency.

I also monitored 173.5875 NAC 293 in the clear that sounded like maintenance from Keesler Air Force base.

170.750 NAC 293 full time encryption heard at Biloxi, MS and Pensacola, FL is likely US Marshal court house security.

Lots more Co-Sharing of Freq's.

164.9625 is:
a.) PA - part of the Federal Interop Pair [input]
b.) MA - was an input to USPS Ops in Boston
c.) FL - CBP Tac-21 during Superbowl XLIII
d.) SC - Shaw AFB - part of TRS
e.) MI - USPS

Thankfully NAC's are like PL Tones :) Altho those $293/$295's drive me bonkers

When I was stationed there in the mid 70's the SP's were on a 160 channel ( I would have to look for the crystal, I probably still have it somewhere) and the base commander had a phone patch repeater on 149. The hams on base also had a nice .16/.76 machine on the water tank that talked out to FL.

Common AF freqs were SP's on 163.4625 & 163.4875, Fire/Crash on 173.5875, and the Commanders Nets on 148.175 & 165.1125. I was stationed at McGuire and we could hear the Dover & Andrews fire dispatches all the time. A sidenote: I was also stationed at Lakenheath and we used 34.10, we heard constant foreign language traffic which was eventually identified as a Portugese fishing fleet. We moved to 34.15.
