I heard what sounded like a couple fire trucks passing through town using 166.2625 simplex.
One had PL 136.5 and the other had 167.9.
Probably out of state federal resources helping Texas A&M Forest Service. I could only find a couple national forests where it was an input frequency.

Do you have any DOE (Department of Energy) facilities down there? We have BrookHaven National Lab and they have their own fire dept and use vhf federal freqs.

TFS gets help from a lot of other states. Usually its the federal agencies that manage land like FS, NPS, BLM, FWS, BIA. I have never seen DOE listed as one of the federal agencies that help. I don't think they do wildland firefighting.

Same here, all notes (fixed locations) point to being Repeater inputs. (CA, ID and OR)
also USM CSO input but that is P25

Odd mixed PL's - tells me either cobbled together a few radios and/or two different Units working/traveling together
