166.9000 MHz (PL 162.2 Hz)

Anyone knows who uses this? I only found two licenses for it in the FCC Database and neither are that close to NJ. This may be coming from NY, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Fed. frequencies aren't listed by the FCC. They are managed by the NTIA.

That may be the reason you can't find anything.

Hello. I did see the two FCC licenses you mentioned:
KB90022
COLORADO, STATE OF
WPFA849
POTOMAC APPALACHIAN TRIAL CLUB

Usually 166.90 in the past was allocated to Land Management Bureau and National Park Service.

I found this at another RR Web page:
National Park Service 166.9 FB2 166.3 VA Shenandoah Park, VA
National Park Service 166.9 FB2 166.3 Long Island, NY Fire Island

So maybe you're hearing the second one?

Fire Island National Seashore uses that freq. with that PL, although they just recently switched to Apco 25 Digital.
