During openings to nearby states i am hearing a P25 digital repeater output on 170.100 using NAC 4F9. The communications appear to be rangers checking on various campsites in some park or lake location. I don't know where the transmissions are originating, but i would guess they're from Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma or Missouri. That's the source of most tropo ducting at my location. I know there are parks in Nevada and the Carolinas using this frequency, but I doubt that is where my signals are coming from. The frequency is also used by DHS in some areas, but that doesn't jibe with my "campsites" traffic. Anyone have any ideas about this one?

It a Nation Park Service repeater. The traffic I've been hearing is from the Buffalo National River in Ark. I'm not sure where the repeater is located at but I get it all the time up here is West Central MO.

Yep, that matches the mention of "Buffalo" in one of the campsites given. I hear 'em pretty regularly in early mornings in the Summertime. Thanks for the information, guys.
