172.075 + 173.6625 n167

Been parked on a freq with RF fairly low ( Long Island NY ) and seeing every time there is activity on 172.075 nac 167, there is activity on 173.6625 nac 167.
172.075 is coming in stronger than 173.6625. Are they linked together?

Two different field offices, so my first blush is no as there would be no need

Question now becomes are you getting the same RID across both ?? or is it just coincidence they both are active at the same time.

Now if the same RID, maybe they have something in common, it would not be out of the question, and brings back memories when an Aerial Surv was keying up multiple repeaters up/down the coast in the ole Analog CBP NET days

Now back to the question or more questions from my end
isn't 173.6625 linked with 171.4250 and 172.0750 (A-02 NY - not A-01 Boston) remember not everything FEDERAL has been shared with RR
so you should also be hearing 171.4250

Think I will try to get 2 dongles and 2 dsdplus going and let them sit a while. So far its just been data bursts that only populate the nac of 167 and no radio id's seen yet. . They are both instantaneous as I saw it happen nine times. I am definitely shying away from coincidence.

Could part of the same voting network and the vote scan is hitting at the same time.

Once you rule out Boston by RID we can then move onto a Long Islabnd Vote-Scan as others are suggesting
Keep in mind, most Vote-Scans for this agency as built out to support a specific RA [Resident Agency] under the Field Office

On 172.075 I get all NAC167 and 337 RID,s if that helps ...73,s Marcy

On 172.075 I get all NAC167 and 337 RID,s if that helps ...73,s Marcy

And we/others have seen the those two Repeaters linked/patched before.
Onetime is was thought to be a patch,. but it maybe a wide-area net with a common input
and at time also patched/linked with 173.6625 (NYC)

The 3 repeaters all have the same input but don't all key up together. In the past they were designated as
173.6625 A1 NYC, 172.0750 A2 LI Nassau and 171.4250 A3 Mt Beacon so not a vote scan. They are used as the ADMIN for the NY Field Office. A lot of the traffic is FBI Police uniforms in the headquarters building in Manhattan and radio checks. Quick key ups so I'm guessing OTAR also.

I'm was thinking (IMHO) not the same, input, but were patched at the NY Console.

Most A-xx channels are the "Admin Zone" for a Field Office and used for a variety of single channel uses, unless patched at a console.
Where-as the other zones would be Wide-Area or Vote-Scan to cover the RA's area of responsibility.

Just a WAG on my end, since if using the same input would/should key up all 3.
