here's an itch i can't scratch.

173.4 seems to be a fairly strong but short data burst that is rcvd here in princeton. i've searched every public database i've come across without success.

if anyone can id this freq, i'll be working on my rubik's cube.

I have it listed as Camp Atterbury Range Ops near Taylorsville, Indiana.
that would be 173 miles north of you.

More than likely what you are getting is coming out of Fort Campbell.

thanks for the insight. i had always assumed this was a ft. campbell tx. just trying to find confirmation.

the fcc link turned up a water utility 10 miles away with a 20 watt transmitter.

this signal is active at some strange hours as well as more conventional hours. guess i just want this to be military. monitoring telemetry from a water department ain't that sexy. 10-4?
