I'm writing a book and need the Metro Nashville Police Department 10 codes for the early 1970s. Anyone have any ideas where I may find that information? Thanks.

If you could find an old issue of "Police Call" for Tennessee, the Nashville 10-codes might be in there. I thought most of the 10 codes had remained the same, but I'm not sure. I remember when the "countywide" channel started up--it was "Signal 12" to go to countywide, and "Signal 13" when the car returned to their regular channel.

I don't think they were that much different. Signal 12 is still go to countywide. (Officers never seem to remember to switch for wreckers). 10-55 meant I need backup. Today, 10-37 means backup. Most officers however just yell send me another car.
