Hey John-well, I bought this thing way back in '87 and got stupid one day and started tweekin stuff in there to make something better-but made it a helluva lot worse. So, I was hoping to at least get some sort of orientation to what each of the 8 or so tweekables in there do, so I can back it out of the nightmare I made it into
. It does vhf lo/hi fine, uhf is ok but questionable, and 800 is whack. It's been parked in the radio closet for a lot of years and I brought it out to try again. I like that old scanner.

Gotcha. What sort of test gear do you have available? RF sig gen, VOM/VTVM, scope, or ?? etc You know, so you can shove some RF in one end and try to peak it out the other end. Anything like that would make your task easier with or without a schematic. If you trace the circuits carefully by eye, you can probably determine at least which parts are audio, which are power supply, which are RF, etc.

NO test equipment here at all. Just lots of screwdrivers and allens lol.
