that is what im talking about, when Raven is patrolling the 400 series highways, and the ground units are being relayed information on speeders and street racing.i heard it during the summer in the evening and after midnight.
The plane does not use SIM 11 for traffic intercepts. Every Comm Centre in the province would probably hear it and it would get annoying after a while.
The Comm Centre assigns a TAC channel and one of the cars involved turns on its repeater. The plane uses a radio on the repeater channel.
You can listen on the input to the VR (usually VR03) and hear the plane. Handy for knowing when you're approaching the area the plane is working.
Believe it or not that plane, it's call signs start with Raven-something uses sim 11 when over the GTA and is patched into an OPS tallkgroup, it's comes up on both, that's how it sounds but in reality what could be happening is the plane is patched into a talkgroup via a 400Mhz repeater and the talkgroup is patched to Sim 11 for units who are riding around on Sim 11. Sure is annoying with the half second delay between the talkgroup and sim 11 if using two scanners.
A call tonight on the 407 fence boundary had a rescue of an 11 year old who had impaled barbed wire into his leg on top of fence six feet off of the ground. Georgian EMS also attended with the OPP.
I've been logging RIDs using TRUNK88 - the radio IDs that are using 1OPS46 are all ones that have used 5-Lima callsigns - IE 407 units. Wouldn't surprise me if they're putting the 407/408/412 units all on one TG incase it gets too busy to have patched with another.
