Sorry for the delay in the post; I just found my notes today.

Back on 2/12/13 I ventured out to the South Burlington area (University Mall) and did some frequency searches. These are some of the stations that I have not been able to identify. Most are probably businesses.

Equipment used - Uniden BCD396XT receiver with a Radio Shack magnetic mount vehicle scanner antenna.

154.070 - DCS 412 - signal strength 2 - repeater - it was just a key up with no voice or traffic. I know Cambridge Fire & Rescue use 154.070 but the database shows 167.9 for a CTCSS tone. Have they changed it or could this be another agency?

462.050 - DCS 565 - signal strength 5 - repeater

463.450 - 146.2 - signal strength 0 - repeater

463.6375 - 100.0 - signal strength 0 - repeater

463.700 - 127.3 - signal strength 1 - repeater

464.150 - DCS 023 - signal strength 0 - simplex

464.475 - DCS 115 - signal strength 0 - repeater

464.550 - 67.0 - signal strength 5 - simplex

464.5625 - 203.5 - signal strength 0 - simplex

The other thing I noticed is how much NXDN digital traffic was on the air in the 450-470 MHz. band. I didn't bother logging all of the channels that I heard this type of traffic on but there must have been over 30 channels, easily.

Wondering if Rutland Fire is using more than one DPL on 464.4750

The UHF NXDN traffic you are hearing is mostly Burlington Communication's statewide trunking system (rentals, AAA Northern New England, and a lot of heating fuel companies, taxi cabs, etc) and the Fletcher Allen NXDN trunked system.

In the greater Burlington area you have Mt. Mansfield, FAHC, FAHC in Essex (can't remember it's name...), St Albans, Monkton VT, and Mt. Irish in Berlin VT with NXDN sites with 2 channels for control and numerous voice channels now that the Passport and LTR system is being phased out.

464.475 DCS 115 - I'm kind of leaning towards Champlain Cente Mall in Plattsburgh. Pyramid Companies seem to use that frequency at a lot of their malls, either for security, maintenance or both. I just couldn't copy the traffic very well because of how weak the signal was.
