Some of the new in camera systems that the police use have these type of transmitters, is it possible to monitor one of these with a legally purchased scanner? I am talking about being within "range" of the transmitter itself.
Supposedly these microphones "hop" codes and / or freqencies and they are impossible to monitor with a scanner.
Anyone have knowledge about this?
Thanks.

If they use Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum(FHSS) then no - there are no scanners that can track and receive them.
