I've been listening to ADOT ALERT West on the YRCS (TG 1104), as well as plenty of traffic on 123.025. There's several helo's up.
DPS Metro Central on 460.325
FD is on A-9, 155.670.
Possibly A-2 154.250 for staging?
Phoenix PD is probably on a C-deck :/

I-10 westbound is now shutdown in it's entirety at 7th Ave. The 7th Street on-ramp to westbound I-10 is also closed.
Previously, they had simply shut down the transition ramps from both eastbound and westbound I-10 to northbound I-17. Eastbound I-10 to northbound I-17 is still closed.
19th Ave is closed from McDowell to I-10.
McDowell is closed from 19th Ave to about 27th Ave.

Yep, this is definitely going to be a nightmare for the commute home. Goodie for me.

These seem to be an annual event for Phoenix, but it's unusual for us to have our big fire of the year so soon (along with the warm temps - people at my apartment complex are swimming! In February!). I have a feeling it's going to be a very busy summer for PFD.

Too bad they encrypted the patches to A deck on the RWC. Would've been cool to listen in on this one. I'm too far away for the VHF from here at work.

I haven't heard the encrypted patches from VHF to the RWC yet. I'm questioning the info on those.
ADOT ALERT seems to be using ALERT East more than ALERT West now. I-10 westbound is shut down at the 10/51/202 Mini-Stack now. All westbound on-ramps from Washington-Jefferson on the I-10 and 24th St on the 202 are closed.

Correction: I do have several of the allegded patch talkgroups in one of my V-Folders that I have set up as a Wildcard Search on each RWC simulcast and IR.
What I need to do, is match up transmissions on the VHF channel, with an encrypted transmission on the supposed patch TG. Seeing as how Simulcast B reception sucks here at home, I'm going to have to find a good spot near a Simulcast A/B site, to do it.
I don't see any on Simulcast G, or on the White Tanks or any other IR site as far as I can tell.

If you can, I really recommend getting a 436 along with the RS 800 duck for monitoring the RWC. I live in a part of town that is literally simulcast hell, just up the road from where cellphone took his video of the 436HP scanning on the RWC. I went from maybe 50% decode with my BC796D to 99% with this scanner on Simulcast B. The only thing I've seen work better out here is an actual Moto radio, and even then, that only improves upon reception by that 1% or so. It's been great so far, I'm really impressed with it.

Unfortunately, finances won't allow that to happen. My PSR-500 will have to suffice for the foreseeable future.

Watching the streaming news coverage now. Does no one have a helicopter in Phoenix anymore? What's with the stupid ADOT camera footage. Lame.... come on someone get a bird up!

EDIT: Finally 15 got one over it. Live Video | abc15.com | News, Weather and Entertainment video from ABC15 in Phoenix, Arizona | KNXV-TV

3TV had one up, too. Bruce Hafner got cool footage of one of the explosions. My co-worker said she could see the smoke from our building, which is at Loop 101 near Shea Blvd in North Scottsdale.

My Dad at 111th & T-Bird called here asking if the fire was in this area, 91st & Peoria.
