Hearing Manitoba and an Oregon repeater on 146.55, (which should be a simplex frequency in NE Nevada, (Grid Square DN-20). Clear as a bell at 20:00Z

I guess it is possible, but not highly likely here in rural Nevada...

Band conditions were pretty good here in the eastern US this morning and even into the afternoon. FM broadcast was hot; I was hearing all kinds of distant stations in the car. I was hearing stations on 2m simplex from Kentucky, VHF-high public safety from all over the place, and I worked the W8MOP repeater in Bluefield, WV, about 315 miles from my QTH using nothing but 50 watts from my FT-2600 into a Cushcraft ARX-2B at about 30 feet AGL. Not too bad.
