I'm trying to monitor some local Tier III systems in my area, however I had to purchase a second SDR to be able to extract audio. I believe I got the second SDR setup to monitor voice traffic, however, I can't actually monitor. Looking at FMP24-VC, it doesn't activate when a VC goes active like I've seen on some youtube videos.

I'm hoping this made sense and y'all are able to help,

All the monitor digital modes are activated, I'm currently testing it on FleetTalk Carolina's Newport site since I can guarantee activity on that site every couple of minutes

Why are you using two SDRs? Can you use one? I'm not familiar with FleetTalk so I don't know the bandwidth required for the system. Here is a simple batch file for monitoring a NXDN system with one SDR:

Start CMD /c dsdplus
Start CMD /c FMP24.exe -o20001 -P0.0 -f150.8675 -b4 -g14.4

I've attempted with 1 SDR in the past, however both FleetTalk, Charleston Wireless and Carolina Connect all require a second SDR to monitor VC traffic. I really don't know anything about SDRs so that's why I tune into the experts (y'all)

It was a simple batch file. You can create your own batch file or run FMP24 and DSDPlus from the command prompt as shown here:

C:\DSDPlus>DSDPlus

You also need to start FMP24. For this example, I substituted the actual frequency of the Newport control channel. Hopefully this makes sense to you.

C:\DSDPlus>FMP24.exe -o20001 -P0.0 -f461.9625 -b4 -g14.4

This will work fine with 1 or 2 SDRs, that's not your issue here.

You have to program the DSDPLUS.FREQUENCIES file for TIII and NXDN as the control channel doesn't provide frequencies for the voice channels like P25 does

I can tell this is your issue because next to the Ch in the VF window there is nothing under frequency - so it doesn't know where to push FMP24 VC when a channel is granted
