Asian Male - radio is advising he's armed and wanted by Sarpy County.

Abel1 is over head lighting up the area.

Suspect is hiding in the neighborhood. They're trying to get a hold of a K9 Unit. Pottawattamie and Sarpy counties do not have one available. Radio is going to check with NSP now.

Air is still cleared on Ch2 (NorthEast) for the foot pursuit of this asian male of 5700 N 18th Street.

They now have another call of a male on foot with a shotgun firing shots in the area of 3300 N 39th St.

Going to send cars from some other areas since Abel1 and NorthEast is tied up.

They have a cellphone from a friend of the suspects and the suspect just text messaged the word help to her. OPD is thinking he will also text his location in a few minutes and this will allow them to just go pick him up... easy work!

Abel1 and a few more cars are going back in service. Command40 is going to have several cars continue to be in the area.

OPD is now going to be at a bar called the Broken Rail on Carter Blvd and N 16th St to make sure he's not hiding some where in the area or at this location.

He's texted a few more times without a location just asking for help and that he's cold.

You mean you can just call the cell provider and get his location like they do on CSI and other shows like that? lol

The suspect was texting his friend who turned his phone over to OPD. The suspect just would send messages saying he was cold and needed help but never actually gave his location. OPD was hoping that he would have sent his location along with one of the messages thinking the suspect would ask his friend to pick him up.

Helps people everyday. I think it is kind of funny that he was sending text messages. Would have made a great story for him to give up his location and send it to OPD.
