Hello,
I want to install a radio in my car and I'm not sure where the battery is located also what is the best location you have found to put your radio.

A few factors,
Does car have a center console?If so does it fully extend to the dash? Do you have space under the dash?
What kind of radio? Can you remote mount the radio?

My 2000 LeSabre battery is located under the rear seat. I extended the wiring that came with my cb and connected it to the acessory fuse box located next to the battery. I then went under the carpet to the edge of the rear door and ran both the antenna coax and the power wiring under the door jams up to the front firewall ... the problem is where can you mount these radio's in these cars... I ended up placing mine under and attached to the ashtray. The problem with that is the tray won't fully close. Maybe you should buy a floor mount..I will the next time

I had a 2000 Buick LeSaber Custom Touring for a very short period of time. I had a professional install tech put a GRE PSR-600 under the dash attached to the ashtray. He used heavy-duty velcro which held the ashtray in place, until it got hot outside. Then the velcro melted loose and it was a battle keeping the ashtray closed. The radio worked fine, but it was a distraction having to change the velcro on a regular basis. The best stuff we finally used was the Scotch 3M product that is used to adhere my Illinois Tollway I-Pass to the windshield. Then, we got a new car, had the scanner, antenna, and wiring removed from the Buick and traded it in.
