2002 Explorer Removable Setup

This is my planned setup for skywarn. My 7800 is mounted on a homemade wood bracket. The whole setup can be taken out or put back in quickly because I use my 7800 as a base normally. On trips the XYL drives and I have my PRO97 mounted where the HT is so I can listen in with headphones.

Very interesting. Cool Idea. You might look into constructing on out of black ABS plastic... k-mac plastics has relatively decent prices on this, and you could adhere it with plumbing cement and screws avail at most hardware stores. You might get a nicer looking finish too!!!
