Here's my installation. I removed the factory radio/CD and replaced it with the BC-996T on top of a Sony with CD. The bezel around the 996T is made so that it works well in a single DIN installation but with a dual setup I should have used an FM radio. I had to trim the 996T's bezel on the bottom to make room for the Sony's head to swing down. The GPS is a Garmin 12XL which will feed both the BC-996T and the Kenwood D-700 (for APRS).

Well, The TMD-700 has a Larson 2m/70cm glass mount. I've been suprised at how well it does and what good reports I've received on it.

On the 996T I cheated! I put in a scanner/fm spliter. The 996T is sharing the factory antenna which is a fixed mount, onthe right front fender. It seems to be doing OK. I havn't done any comparsons yet. When I do I'm afraid that I'll want to put a dedicated scanner antenna back up.
