2004 Honda Pilot

I'm planning on getting a UHV-6 and I'm worried about height, I drive a 2004 honda pilot, where may be other places to mount it other than the roof? I know ground plane is best up there but it makes it a lil tall for my tastes. Diamond makes a motorized mount but those things are insane expensive.

A good ground plane is really important. Mounting the antenna anywhere else will be a compromise. Yeah, you can make fender mounts work (sort of), but I've never understood the point in investing a bunch of money in radios and then doing a half-azzed antenna install.

So, the question that I'd have would be, Do you really need that specific antenna?
Putting a basic VHF/UHF on the roof where it'll work best would be a good approach, then do a separate antenna for the HF where it's down a a bit lower.

I chose that one due to multi-band, I've already got a vhf-uhf I use for my Handheld. Not really trying to half ass it, just want a low profile so I can fit in my garage.

Got it.
HF, low profile and fitting it in the garage are going to be difficult to attain.

It's been years since I've messed with HF, so there are others with much more recent experience, but you might want to consider looking at some other antennas.
