Does anyone know if the Pro-96 can connect to the sound system in a late model Chevy Suburban using the headphone jack from the scanner to one of the rear seat headphone jacks? I have a mono plug, male on both ends, with no success, even after scrolling through the different radio modes. The Sub has only a CD player in front, no jacks. Sorry if this scenario has come up before...Dave

you can purchase an FM transmitter at W-M for around $20.00, set the FM in the truck on 88.1 and away you go.

It sounds like your are using two outputs, for the sound of the pro-96 to be heard though you Chevy's sound system it would need a input, port to the sound system in your truck.

Thanks, I've seen that transmitter, and see now I need an input on the radio side for that approach. I'll check the shop manuals for a back panel input on the main radio, probably will regret that project. Another local RR friend told me about the cassette unit with a plug. The project of least risk will likely prevail. Thanks for the feedback.

There are no auxillary audio inputs in the Suburban, sorry. If you had a Cobalt or an HHR with the "MP3" radio, they have an aux in jack on the front of the radio to hook up your ipod........... or scanner :)
