Chapel Hill FD on VIPER

Heard a Firefighter Mayday over their dispatch TG (30240). According to sources, they were doing (and still are) FF Training. One would think that you would NEVER hear a mayday over a dispatch group. Not to nitpick but so much for realism .

Apparently CHFD dispatches on conventional but were using VIPER radios for this.

Cheers

CHFD using VIPER ch. for training today...

For Robbyboy - the first training calls i heard today on local CHFD dispatch caused me to jump a bit until we found out that the are, indeed doing fire training with their viper handhelds in Chapel Hill today...Before today, the last time i heard a call like that it was for real - a CHFD instructor was injured in the smoke house during local training, oddly enough.rgds, Redclay 2/20

Dude, take a chill pill...I explained this in my email to you....I will go over your submissions and get them worked into the database but you need to chill...database admins like myself do this on a volunteer basis and we do have lives outside of Radioreference.com....like right now I am having to take time away from a visit with a friend to type up a response to your whining...I will get to your submissions and have them worked by tomorrow (as I stated in my email to you a day ago)...so relax, sit back and drink a beer and learn patience...

Talkgroup ID Help

Marshall, I hate to ask this question but I am am having a hard time identifying a Talkgroup ID 22864. Whomever it belongs to they are doing some type of joint operation with Nash County tonight.
I looked in the databse and over some notes I had but I cannot find anything on it. If I have overlooked it I apologize. Thanks.
I do not want to assume anything but they are using first names and when I was on the task force the only time we used first names for radio traffic was when we worked with the DEA.
