Orange County Departments Voice Concern Over VIPER
Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY - If you live more than 6 miles away from a fire department, your insurance rates are significantly higher than if you were to live within a 6-mile radius of a department.
If you’re a firefighter, there’s a strong chance you’ve bravely gone into a burning building and temporarily lost communication with those outside, known as a “busy-bonk.”
And if you’re a member of the Orange County Board of Commissioners, you heard fire chiefs, chairs and presidents of the boards of directors of individual fire stations from across the county stress these and other concerns at a meeting Tuesday night.
From Jeff at Firenews.net comes this article about challenges that
Orange County is trying to deal with in terms of how best to utilize VIPER:

The rest of the article is over at Firenews.net.
I decided to post this article here because there are some out there who still think
I am a little too "Pro VIPER" and don't show all of the positives and negatives of our
statewide system. I try to be fair and accurate when it comes to discussing VIPER
Pros & Cons. Hopefully that comes across in my posts.
