You are well west of all of the action and traffic on 294. I'd worry more about construction delays if any.

Saturday Report

The CARMA monitoring post and picnic site was active from 0630 - 1830
Hrs on Saturday. We had about a dozen folks with us during the day and
I want to thank them all for coming to the spot for the show. It was a
great show. Must have been an attendance record for the show, by Noon
it was essentially SRO from south of North Avenue beach all the way
north to Diversey and beyond - amazing. It was also one of the
smoothest running shows I've ever attended. My hat's off to Rudi
Malnati and the City of Chicago, especially to CPD.

I thought I heard at Saturday's show that the Blue Angels had a mechanical problem with one of the planes. I also noticed the "Boss" was flying a plane without a tail number. I only had my Pro-95 at the beach, so I couldn't pick up anything but the 142.6125 freq. I thought I understood that they had to take the #1 plane back to Gary for the spare.

Anyone have any news on that?

During the run-up prior to takeoff on runway 30, the boss had a compressor stall. He switched to a spare plane and took off after about a 20 minute delay.
