Sorry it took so long to get these posted. But for those who were interested here they are. The master disconnect isolates the radios and lights from the truck. In the event of a problem any add-on electronics can be disconnected from the trucks electrical system. Relays are for rotating lights and work lights on the rear rack, and driving lights up front.

Thanks for the compliments. As for the antennas "growing"....water will do that! LOL! Actually the pix with the loaded antennas was taken afew weeks ago....the others yesterday. I leave the short antennas on as they'll clear the garage door. If the truck is going to be out for awhile I install the loaded antennas for better range. I always have the short ones installed so I don't forget and transmit without them.

I know what you mean about the short antenna's! I've got 3 Phanthoms on the top of my truck as they are the only thing that will clear my garage as well!

Get a black Sharpie and color them!

I thought about the phantoms, but already had these. How do the Phantoms perform vs. the loaded antennas?

I am using the 450 for my GMRS and have no problems hitting repeaters 30-50 miles away on my Spectra (40 Watts). I have my 996 tied to the 150 & 800 cans and it seems to work quite well.

What kind of disconnect is that and can you give me an idea what is what in the wiring there?

It's been over a year and a half since i did the install, so I'll kinda have to go from memory. The disconnect is one a friend had in his stash, but I think it can be had at any autoparts store. The three relays are standard bosch style relays, again found at any auto parts store. One is for the driving lights up front, one is for the rotating lights on the rack, and one is for the flood lights on the rack. The white wires run to the in cab switches that activate the relays. One for the rotating lights and the other for the flood lights..they are wired to the acc terminal in the fuse block so if the key is off so are the lights. The relay for the driving lights are triggered by the high-beam headlights. That master disconnect will isolate the radio and lights from the truck by pushing the red button on the disconnect. The other red cable is a standard Motorola power cable for the business band.
