Ok, because of several reasons, money being the biggest, i am going to put a 10 meter rig in my truck--cant afford a multi band HF rig right now, or a screwdriver antenna to go with it.
Here are my options, please help me decide or give me an alternative.
1-------i can use a stake mount and mount the hamstick in the truck stake beds holes
---easy to do but then the antenna sticks up to high to get in the garage.
2-------i could use a license plate or hitch mount, still an easy task but.....but then the tailgate wont open.
3-----I could use a mirror mount. also easy to do but then the antenna sticks up too high to get in the garage an in my opinion it doesnt look as neat installed with the coax running down the mirror.
4---- could ground my toolbox real well, and mount it on the lid of it in the truck bed.
5- I could scrap the whole idea and mount a whip on the bumper
Any hole drilling is not an option, and I would like to avoid anything mag mounted.
Any help or ideas???? Thanks in advance.........
