Has anyone had any computer issues with a Trailblazer mobile install? I want to instal a VHF/UHF mobile and was wondering the best run for wiring. I have read some posts about the radio interfering and sometimes destroing the computer.

I'm running UHF, VHF, and HF in my 2003 Tahoe. Power feed is direct to battery. Antennas are mounted on the roof with the exception of a Larson glass mount on the side rear and the HF on the tailgate.

I am not seeing any issues.

GM mounts the egine/transmission computers in the engine compartment and the body control up under the dash. The key is to keep feed lines and antennas away from the computers and their wiring.

I've had a rig in my truck for almost a year now and have not had any problems. I've not heard any rumors about the RF interfering with the ECM. I have my scanner hard wired to the battery and the radio is wired to the in-coming power to the fuse block under the rear seat. Where did you hear this about the ECM?

I just operate 2m/70cm from the truck. The scanner power is run through the firewall and the radio power is run under the carpet to the backseat.
