Dispatch would have been made by KGF-301 off of our South Tower on the Summit Mountain, Uniontown, Fayette County, PA

330W Low band Micor with the antenna at the 125' mark on the tower

Glad to see the old beast is getting out!

It was 10-8 in South Texas. Did I miss the tone or is it carrier squelch?

low band loggings

I wonder how old some of those loggings are. Sounds like some of them might go back to the last peak of the solar cycle; others sound like typical summer sporadic E reception.

I doubt they go back to the last peak. . . .
Who particularly cares if they are the typical summer sporadic E reception.

The gentleman from Texas is reporting what skip he is receiving.

The one in question from "North Union Township" on 33.70 did occur on the day he reported. So I personally have no doubt as to the validity of the rest of his reports.

Kudos to him for reporting this info to us in the SKIP monitoring forum.

The logs I post are for the date noted. Those logs are for May 4th, 2010. All stations listed were recorded and logged on that day.

I have a Uniden BCD396T scanner running 24/7 with ARC auto-logging and auto-recording software that is dedicated to VHF Low Band only. The program generates logs and makes a separate WAV file for each time the squelch is open. The WAV files naming format is FREQ_DESCRIPTION_DATE_TIMESTART_TIMEEND so it is easy when listening to a file to know the freq, date and time it was recorded.

Also, all of my logs are in UTC which means for me the end of the day is 7:00 pm (CDT).

I wonder how old some of those loggings are. Sounds like some of them might go back to the last peak of the solar cycle; others sound like typical summer sporadic E reception.
