• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello everyone,

I am starting this thread to see what folks are using for the 2011 Ford F250/350/etc. When you need to fender mount an antenna. We all know the best results will be obtained when going through the roof but there are certain applications where we must use the fender.

Due to a redesigned hood and fender on the 2011 and up models the previous brackets do not fit. I have posted a couple of pics of what I have seen used but wanted to poll everyone and see what else is being used. Perhaps something better. Please post pics if you have them

Looks good. Our largest, local shop quotes me around 20 bucks(with OUT coax and nmo) for an actual 2011 F-350 fender specific mount, and that there are left and right side mounts. So untill I have the time, money and desire I am using 2 magmounts one with a 1/2wave for my Vhf LMR, and. 1/4wave for my APRS, my 8800, and by M800 are both drilled NMO on the roof.

I ordered the custom fit bracket for my fathers new 2011 F350 and then he decided he didn't want to install a radio in it. It bolts to an existing bolt in the fender, but in my opinion it places the antenna too far forward and it looks outta place. If I had installed it, I planned on modifing it to sit closer to the cab. After seeing these pictures, I like the install where you remove the side grill and mount behind that. I could have used mounts I already own.
