Go to the database entry and where is says
System Frequencies
Red (c) are primary control channels | Blue (a) are alternate control channels | Site Map(s): FCC Callsigns RR Locations

click on FCC Callsigns or RR Locations. Those will generate google maps. I don't know how accurate the data is.

I was staring right at it, Should've looked harder before I posted. It is not exact but it gives me an idea what sites are near by. Thanks!

At one time there was a map of all the sites, I cannot seem to find it now, does anybody know where it can be found?

It's not in a spot that really jumps out and grabs your attention.
I just recently found it myself.

MOSWIN Statewide Site Map - RadioReference version

MOSWIN Statewide site and mobile coverage map - PDF version

It looks like the Macon and Fredericktown sites are missing from the RR version.

You should see something then. Just patience :) That's what I learned... MOSWIN has been dead for the last few days for me though, we'll wait and see after this big snow storm though.

Have you guys considered getting some sort of live chat or something so we can keep each other updated as the system becomes active?

I've heard a lot of Troop E traffic today on the Weldon Spring tower mostly. Both dispatch and mobile replies.
Still hearing some Troop E tonight as well but no Troop C traffic at all.

The techs I heard also talked about out fitting a few modot vehicles with them to test the conventional side of the APX7000 radios. They also said they would experiment tonight when the weather is at its worst on SW Interop 4.

Same here. But the PRO96comm got another one today and it was 5001. The RR Database shows it is with the starting range for Iron County. But so far as I know they are still VHF Analog.

I will ask a friend of my Sunday at church if he comes. That's all for now.

blind?

Correction. I found site 21, but it has to be wrong, site 21 says Mansfield. however, tonight while driving home from chillicothe the radio in the car switched to site 21, with an RSSI of 53. so Im not sure what site up here in north Missouri is site 21, but i find it hard to believe that site 21 at Mansfield is what the radio picked up.

Is the radio displaying the site ID in hex instead of decimal?
There is a site 21 in Hex format that is site 33 decimal. It's up in the very NE corner of the state in Medill which is in Clark County. That site was just reported as "On Air" this month also.

The database here lists the site primary number in decimal format 33 and then in Hex like (21) so 33 (21) is how they list the Medill site. The hex value is within parenthesis.

I saw where Chillicothe was after I posted about the site in Clark County.
It would be a pretty good haul. I've picked up sites from halfway across the state though, and with a scanner, so anything is possible if conditions are good.
This site 21 does sound like there is an error or missing site in the database. I see on the state map that there appears to be some "holes" near the Chillicothe area where a site could be added. Perhaps an FCC application for the missing site 21 went unnoticed by those that watch that stuff so that site was not added. Can you hear it with the 2096 and try and decode the control channel with Pro96com?
That may give some clues if it spits out the site frequencies.

I think it was the Weldon Spring site that came on the air and its site ID was the same as what was listed for Mississippi Counties site. I knew there was no way I was picking up a site way down south with the signal strength I was getting so I took a drive out near Troop C and verified the site was indeed Weldon Spring and not Mississippi Counties site.
That was corrected in the database and they assigned Mississippi county a temp ID of 999 but it is now showing as online with an ID of 332. I think that 3-332 could be a typo and maybe it should be site 3-032.

It's also odd that the group 1 sites skip right over site 021.

Maybe you could build up a VHF DF array and go hunting for the site!
I'd do it if I still travelled up into Iowa.

Is there any way to determine the frequency when the radio locked onto site 21?
I also assume it was a group 1 site also and not group 3 like Mansfield is.
Does the radio show the group number with the site number?
They list the group numbers as the RF SubSystem (RF SS) number.

Interesting either way. Post back if you figure out the sites true location.

Site 1-016 is listed as Grimes/Dewitt.
I take it that 016 should be just Grimes and 021 would be Dewitt?

Can you copy them both and get the frrequencies from Pro96com?
Or are they one in the same and there is no site 016?

If there are two sites, then we are missing frequencies for one of them.
