I'm going to start this thread now, since it appears to be a matter if when (not if) there is a major wildland fire somewhere in WI this spring. The easy money is on last summer's blowdown area in the far NW corner but many areas of the state are primed and ready.
In DNR-managed areas, keep an ear on the Forestry channels and the DNR aircraft AM channels...I've been hearing a lot of activity on those channels, even in southern WI, as I've traveled about the state in the last couple weeks.

Key channels are the Green, Yellow, Blue and White repeaters, Red, Brown and 122.925 MHz AM
