2018 Tahoe PPV Setup

Build consists of the following:

2018 Tahoe PPV 4X4.
4- Motorola XTL's. VHF, VHF, UHF1, UHF2
2- Uniden 996P2's
1- Motorola APX 8000 XE

8 total leads on the roof, 6 currently occupied. 7/8 will be for a mobile repeater.


Console is from Plastix Plus, Houston TX. Upfit by Lonestar PSE, Houston TX.

Personal truck

Great looking install! Out of curiosity, how does one go about purchasing a new Chevy PPV as a personal vehicle? Im guessing this wasn't sitting on a dealer lot somewhere.

To answer some questions ya'll have had.

Purchasing- I am a first responder, certain dealers will sell a PPV without govt PO.
Antenna questions - I'll get a pic soon. I tried to go lower-profile than I used to be. There are 8 total NMO's on the roof, so..don't want it to stand out too much!
And it's a personal truck. I use it for responding as well and such, but I do communications work, so that / personal use is what I use it for.

Makes sense! Might as well be comfortable and have all necessary means of communication at hand.

Definitely would like a shot or two of the roof sometime - you know how we are, we like our antenna farms even if they're low-pro ones!
