The last dispatch I heard was to this address:

33.6400114.8KNAW393Fire Dispatch - Bourne MA"183 Barlows Landing Rd"

I'm picking up a fire dept repeater on 33.64 PL 114.8. That's listed as Barnstable Massachuttes. They said something about the I95 bypass so it may not be them. Anybody?

Thanks. kkn50 mentioned the call sign. I just copied Timmins Fire Control, Canada's Ministry Resources and Forestry, Bancroft district from the RR wiki.

I really enjoy low band VHF DXing too. On Wednesday, 07/08/2020 late afternoon, I was hearing a female dispatcher on 46.70 PL 110.9 and 46.54 PL 110.9 here in N.W Arkansas. Skip was in and out, like it has been a lot lately, and I wondered if this was related to 46.58 PL 110.9 and after finding the Canadian Ministry Of Natural Resources MNR Channel Plan on the R.R. Wiki, I guess it confirms that it is. I heard this on my Bearcat BCT15X using my Comet GP-15 Tr-band Ham Radio base antenna and a triplexor. I also heard range control comms on 38.90 but strangely the BCT15X tone search was coming up with a PL146.2 instead of the PL 150.0 norm. I also heard what sounded like a chopper on 44.74 PL 110.9 Maryland State Police as some highlights. Where I live, VHF Low Band Springfield Missouri Highway Patrol is routine local comms for me but only the base comms unless airborne or a mobile on a high ridge (car to car). Thanks for the Audio Clip, 217, of Timmins Fire Control. I can't believe how many different channels there are in the MNR Channel plan on the R.R. Wiki. Sounds like it would be a great idea to make a scanner bank devoted to the MNR. Currently, my BCT15X is basically devoted to VHF Low Band DXing and Missouri Highway Patrol use only on the low band side of the Comet GP-15 tri-plexor.

In regards to scanning the TV band, I find it hard because the scanner stops on almost every step and doesn't scan smoothly. Do you search in a different modulation other than WFM or have another method that you use?

There is NO I-95 bypass on Cape Cod. I used to live there from 1971-1973. 33.70 was Barnstable County Fire. Maybe Bourne FD uses 33.640/114.8 now.

42.000 could be Missouri Highway Patrol.

47.100 is most likely South Carolina DOT. Does your radio have PL feature?

42.000 could be MOHP (186.2) but there is some milcom with PL of 150.0 on that freq too.

yup
re Penn Twp on 33.68

https://www.osfc.pa.gov/SiteCollectionDocuments/FDID List - August 2017 UPDATED.pdf - 2017 list of FDs in Pennsylvania - Penn Twp FDs are in Butler County + York County + Cumberland County

searching the FCC ULS for 33.68 in Penn brings up licenses for Butler County + Somerset County + Berks County

My guess is Penn Twp in Butler County PA

----------------------

listening to the tape it sounds like Mount Carmel testing Clear Twp Fire - yup - it really does sound like Mount Carmel testing Clear Twp Fire

Mt Carmel is in Northumberland County - as is Coal Twp FD + Point Twp FD + Turbot Twp FD

not finding any 33.68 licensed in Northumberland County - so this theory seems to be a fine bust
