KQH-904 is indeed Licking County but not on 33.92 MHz. The county uses 33.86 and a bunch of VHF repeaters.

There are three Licking County departments that use 33.92: West Licking, Alexandria, and Monroe Township (Johnstown). Licking County 911 probably dispatches them and may be using the 904 calls.

The 33 MHz fire channels are hopping right now in southeastern Ohio.

40.0750 150.0 US MIL - reading grid coordinates

just as a public service for everyone, if ya ever hear grids called out, and the mood strikes you to investigate, this site is great for a simple plugin:

MGRS / USNG to Latitude and Longitude

obviously its not easy to hear the whole thing, but a little research can help ya deal with partials too, especially if you know for sure if its local or if its skip.

Please don't misconstrue as implying anything here as i realize there are a multitude of reasons that would prevent you from doing so. Just thought id throw it out there.

I don't think its West Virginia. The accent is wrong.

The dispatcher sounds northern or mid-western. There is a Pleasant Valley FD in New York and in Maryland according to Google. No licenses on 46.14 but this dispatch involves another department responding *to* Pleasant Valley's mutual aid request.

I'm hearing 'mutual aid with Pleasant Valley' and an address on South Pleasant Road. Of course, no one ever uses an FCC call sign. Let us know if you find out more.

Thanks W8UU I'll try to track it down. I think Tyler Co, WV uses 46.14 but they're several counties over. Also throw in the mix I heard a mutual aid response to Newport, OH, just across the river 🤔

On second listen, maybe they're saying "mutual aid to Pleasants County" and not *valley*.

Pleasants County is in West Virginia and is across the river from Washington County Ohio (Marietta) -- a huge user of 46.14 MHz.

So ... a Washington County Ohio fire department is providing mutual aid to Pleasants County West Virginia. That would make sense.
