Surprised a military convoy would come up on a low band ps freq.

Easy catch on the convoy - they were only a few miles away. I have heard 30.525 in use locally several times in the past.

30.525 is not a public safety frequency but the military commonly use frequencies in the non-federal allocations.

When I lived across Hwy 3 from Ellington AFB this was very active along with 135.0 and 242.4. Don't know if current.
