1C3 is the Springfield 700 (zone 1 - site 53) and it matches the DB.While in Springfield I got 773.035 on Stalker mode. I'd guess it's 773.0325 voice. However I got a NAC 1C3 and the database does not match.

I see it now, Thanks1C1 is the NAC for zone 4 site 1 (Greene County Simulcast)
Do you have all the sites loaded on your scanner? Or are you running on full database?Hope someone can shed some light on this for me, in my scanner I was listening to troop E which is based out of Poplar Bluff, normally when I am listening to them the site Id and location shows the MOSWIN tower site as Poplar Bluff, but today twice so far the scanner has showed sites in Milan and in Grandy City. Anyone got a clue to why this is happening? Both of those sites are way out of physical receiving range for my scanner and location.

Trunked system sites can reuse the same frequencies throught the state.Anyone got a clue to why this is happening? Both of those sites are way out of physical receiving range for my scanner and location.
ok I'll buy that, but what about hearing Talkgroups and agencies you know for a fact are on the other side of the state like 300 or 400 miles away?Trunked system sites can reuse the same frequencies throught the state.
The scanner finds an active control channel.
Depending on how you programmed it the scanner may or may not display the correct site.
As mentioned in the post by @nd5y frequencies are reused across the state so you may see other site names. One way to combat this (if your scanner isn’t able to ise NAC) is to only have the control channels listed for each site. In the scanners there is no need to have the voice channels listed.I have all the sites loaded on my scanner.
What talk group are you hearing that is across the state?ok I'll buy that, but what about hearing Talkgroups and agencies you know for a fact are on the other side of the state like 300 or 400 miles away?
3101 is US Parks service in the Ozark National Scenic River ways. Throughout Shannon and Oregon Counties. Their dispatch is at the Arch.3101 is Forestry Service, someone said it is in or near the Arch in St. Louis I hear it just fine from my location.
Isnt MOSWIN set up like this - If there is another radio in your area or that is affiliating with your tower and that radio is listening to 3101, then your tower will rebroadcast 3101 and you will hear it?
yep well they come in perfect here at my location, their dispatch and park rangers.3101 is US Parks service in the Ozark National Scenic River ways. Throughout Shannon ajd Oregon Counties. Their dispatch is at the Arch.
That’s only if the talk group is allowed to affiliate to the site. I believe 3101 is a talk group that can be used anywhere in the state.Isnt MOSWIN set up like this - If there is another radio in your area or that is affiliating with your tower and that radio is listening to 3101, then your tower will rebroadcast 3101 and you will hear it?
That explains why you're hearing agencies that are 300-400 miles away on your tower; there is a radio listening to that agency nearby your location that is affiliating with your tower and bringing that radio traffic with it.yep well they come in perfect here at my location, their dispatch and park rangers.
some sites cover exceptionally well. There may be some areas that they cover through out the parks where poplar bluff is where their radio affiliates. There’s a spot near eminence in Shannon county where their radios affiliate to the Willow Springs site. So in reality the user may be 25 miles or less (line of site) from the tower they’re usingyep well they come in perfect here at my location, their dispatch and park rangers.
So one final question, is it better to have all the tower sites programmed in to the scanner or just the ones that are nearby?P

I use the sites that are near by. And I only have control channels for each site. I don’t list the voice channels to help prevent random sites from coming in during band openings. I do have a favorites list that has all sites and talk groups on MOSWIN but that is a location based list.So one final question, is it better to have all the tower sites programmed in to the scanner or just the ones that are nearby?

So if you're in the St Louis Area, which MOSWIN tower would you program to hear the park service? St Louis South 2 005?I use the sites that are near by.
