Best guess is Paragon Ready Mix
Van Dyke (M-53) and Garfield roads are in the Sterling Heights/Clinton Twp area north of Detroit, MI. Roads like M-59 and 19 Mile Rd run between Van Dyke & Garfield.

I heard an amateur VE1PYE calling on 52.525 earlier this evening from a suburb of Halifax NS! Simplex!

Always in NFM, it doesn't always come in clear but enough that I can tell what it is.
Then again, it's .Mil I'm really looking for especially helos.

It's cool you finally got a hit on Fort Hood! I always figured you were a little too far from it to pick it up direct and at the same time too close for skip. Maybe it was tropo or aircraft scatter!
