Interesting signal on 35.140 / 156.7 tone today - WRFM852 in Monticello, Florida - Base unit talking to a mobile (which was heard at one point) with lots of talk of signal coverage and general chat about how radio works. Not the first time I've heard this one. Had a look at the FCC licence and then looked for the owner who is - no big shock - a radio ham - runs an audio visual business. He gives nice clear full FCC id's at the end of a conversations. One to look out for.

The skip started of around 9:45 am with the spanish taxis. After 12pm my time the CHP and the super bowl idiots with their break breaks. Most of the afternoon I had to listen to that awfully annoying jabber jaw station all over the band. I think I heard her say KCT227 at 10:27 left coast time.
