I was picking those up as well here in North Florida as well as some other CHP 39.XX frequencies; very strong signals. Right about that time 29.60 opened up to the west and the south. I worked some South and Central America stations. Hopefully this keeps up. Low Band!!!!!

I'm hearing what appears to be Lancaster, PA on 33.90. Is that possible? I thought they shut down their low band last year.

It's true. Someone is rebroadcasting the digital over the analog airwaves. The digital fanboys wanted everyone to believe analog was silenced in Lancaster county. I guess it relates to simplifying to the database. If you have two scanners you can catch them on 33.9 and 33.92 simultaneously. I warn you this, there is an extreme delay between the two frequencies.

Has nothing to do with that. Sometimes we get DB submissions from users, out of our normal reception area , that incorrectly state low band usage has stopped. If the Low Band frequencies are in use, they need to be listed in the database. Someone local should confirm and resubmit them.

Picking up 30.450 MHz right now and very loud and clear which appears to be a range in the US. Never got the location or a call sign as of yet but wondering if this might be Fort Hood. My location is in the Bay of Fundy Canada.

It is almost certainly Fort Hood Range Control in central Texas. It’s been a mainstay VHF lowband catch for years.

The 43.18 mhz was interesting. Used a callsign of THINKTANK. Any ideas?

The 32.7 mhz US MIL recordings were interesting. The last two are from open mic in vehicle -- VOX perhaps. Eventually they went OOR.
