2026 Chicago OEMC Public Safety - 800 MHz P25 Official Thread

Hearing some CPD P25 patching to the trunking system talk groups today. 9101 is Zone 1 (encrypted) and Phase 2. 9122 is Citywide 2 (clear/Phase 2). 9124 and 9127 were key ups (Possibly Citywides 4/7?). 9125 was heard and confirmed as Citywide 5 (clear/Phase2) by the OEMC radio techs. Citywides 1,3,6 have been previously identified, but aren't carrying traffic at this time.

I previously heard 9108 briefly rebroadcasting Zone 8 traffic, but it's no longer doing so. If the "pattern" remains, it should map out like this.

9101-9113 (CPD Zones 1-13)

New Citywide talk groups identified above. Not sure if Citywides 1,3,6 will have new talk group numbers (9121/9123/9126) or remain the same (5927/5929/5928)?

With the Motorola consoles replacing the Harris consoles at the OEMC and eliminating the ISSI bridges, it allows more flexibility now. I expect to see more changes in the near future.

The patch for Citywides 1,2,3,6 and Zones 6 (9106) and 7 (9107) was enabled yesterday, and both Zones are encrypted and Phase 2. It's still on as of this time.

definitely a no... The 800 for police will be used for events is what I am hearing

TG 9124 is active today with actual traffic and not just key up definitely citywide. Also has the MDC squelch at the end.

It's the patch. It's on again, off again and not permanent..yet Citywide 1 and 3 were patched a short time ago, now it's disabled.
